Trying Videography


Below is something that I've never attempted to do before, but since I had a lot of free time at home, I decided to try out something different 

The background of this video, is a human eye, representing any common human. The fire depicts anger or rage in a person, and the ice represents other people trying to calm the fire.

Concept:
The clip starts with fire, a minor fire, which wouldn't have lasted long. But as the video moves further, layers of ice start to freeze around the eye, trying to ease it out anyways. If observed carefully, compared to the intensity of the fire, there is too much ice, depicting the fact that the fire gets too much unwanted attention. When the ice closes inwards, without even realizing, it builds on to the pressure rather than decreasing it. 

As animals have good instincts of  their surroundings, and they escape areas of danger immediately, the bats flying outwards are a hint given by the eye for the ice to stop. Since the eye is the base of the fire it feels suffocated and can not sit silent. So it sent out the bats more like a warning than a hint.

The ice ignores the warning, and keeps on increasing, slowly closing in on the fire even more. This disturbs the eye to the point where the eye snaps and the fire turns into a huge explosion, destroying everything around it. The fact that all of this happened so quickly, didn't give the viewer much time to think about what was happening. This displayed the reality of life, everything always happens so quickly, that we tend to ignore the details. If reality is that quick, why not this?

What does this Artwork represent?      This piece is part of my AP 3D Studio Art Portfolio and represents "Life on Land" (SDG 15)*. The animal behind the curtain is the Bengal Tiger, India's national animal. With around 2,500 individuals left, this species is close to extinction. The red and yellow cloths show the process of destruction of both the tiger and it's habitat. Creative Cubism - Cover Art

What does this Artwork Represent?      This artwork is a portrayal of emotion in art. The circles on top represent open and positive emotions whereas the squares represent closed and negative emotions. The colour scheme has also been chosen accordingly. The background shapes are all the colours of the rainbow plus more, however the shades used are lighter for the circle and darker for the squares.      The cloud shows a thought and is shades of grey representing that any thought is dull without emotions. Also the fact that the cloud is in the middle of the negative and positive emotions means that every thought in your head is either negative, positive or a transition between the two.      For example,  if one thinks of something from a negative perspective(starting from the squares), one thought(the cloud) could act as a transition from a negative to positive perspective and vice versa. Emotion in Art - IB MYP5 E-portfolio (Piece 1)

  Layout:  Artistic intention:      Through this layout, I plan to bring out the concept of an overload of emotions and not able to decide on one of them to fully express. Each of the flowers show emotions in the language of flowers, for example, the lavender represents purity, the daisy represents attachment, the rose represents affection, the gentian represents gratitude, the lily represents virtue and the heather represents solitude. The hands at the bottom trying to catch the dripping emotions from the flowers show how the person isn’t able to pick an emotion to express leading them to getting influenced a little by all and creating mixed emotions in the end.
