I'm Naisha & I'm 14 years old. 

One of my main interests in life is visual arts. As a child I was always interested in drawing and coloring. And ever since then, I've build up on my passion and created tons of art pieces. Including acrylic, watercolor, sketches, soft pastels and more.

Nowadays, since the world is going through a pandemic, I've had a lot of free time at home, so I decided to create this blog on which I will be putting up many of my artworks along with a little description. In other words, this'll be a way to showcase the journey of this artistic life:)

'Caught' the Tiger by its Tail

What does this Artwork represent?      This piece is part of my AP 3D Studio Art Portfolio and represents "Life on Land" (SDG 15)*. The animal behind the curtain is the Bengal Tiger, India's national animal. With around 2,500 individuals left, this species is close to extinction. The red and yellow cloths show the process of destruction of both the tiger and it's habitat. The roaring image of the tiger indicates how the tiger is so much stronger than us humans but we're the ones that are "closing the curtains" on it.  *In 2015, the united nations set 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to achieve by 2030. These are set around issues the world is currently dealing with and need to be resolved. This piece focuses on SDG 15, which is "Life on Land". Emotion in Art - IB MYP5 E-portfolio (Piece 1)

  Layout:  Artistic intention:      Through this layout, I plan to bring out the concept of an overload of emotions and not able to decide on one of them to fully express. Each of the flowers show emotions in the language of flowers, for example, the lavender represents purity, the daisy represents attachment, the rose represents affection, the gentian represents gratitude, the lily represents virtue and the heather represents solitude. The hands at the bottom trying to catch the dripping emotions from the flowers show how the person isn’t able to pick an emotion to express leading them to getting influenced a little by all and creating mixed emotions in the end. Exploration: 1) Hands Drawing:      I tried drawing and shading the hands with soft pastels so that I get a basic idea of where it should be lighter and where the hands should be left dark. Creative Cubism - Cover Art

What does this Artwork Represent?      This artwork is a portrayal of emotion in art. The circles on top represent open and positive emotions whereas the squares represent closed and negative emotions. The colour scheme has also been chosen accordingly. The background shapes are all the colours of the rainbow plus more, however the shades used are lighter for the circle and darker for the squares.      The cloud shows a thought and is shades of grey representing that any thought is dull without emotions. Also the fact that the cloud is in the middle of the negative and positive emotions means that every thought in your head is either negative, positive or a transition between the two.      For example,  if one thinks of something from a negative perspective(starting from the squares), one thought(the cloud) could act as a transition from a negative to positive perspective and vice versa.
